June 8th Los Angeles, CA – Pop artist Catey Shaw has premiered her forthcoming EP, The Ransom today! Stream the EP in full exclusively on PopDust now, here: link link link. Set to drop this Friday, June 10th, fans can pre-order The Ransom EP here: link link link This release follows Shaw’s 2014 project, The Brooklyn EP, which garnered praise from Billboard, Nylon, TIME, Complex and more!

“I am finally free from whatever was holding me back and this music kind of celebrates that,” Shaw told PopDust of the EP. Each song on the project touches on aspects of Shaw’s personal journey: “The songs [on The Ransom EP] share a common thread of subject matter, and of meaning to me personally,” she said, “So to put them out as one package is so important and exciting to me.”

Drawing on the ups and downs of life and love, Shaw brings honesty and emotion to every track on The Ransom EP. “Catey’s new music seems to follow the pattern of breaking hearts and taking names, complete with an ’80s beat.” (Inked Magazine) In advance of its June 10th release, The Ransom EP has already built a buzz in the blogosphere. PopCrush called her end-of-summer single, “Walks All Over You” “upbeat, audacious, and a complete earworm.” Shaw has dropped visuals for the first four singles from the project, “Walks All Over You,” (85k views) “Tell Everyone” (21k views), the title track, “The Ransom” (57k views) and her latest single “Lovesick Jerk.” Fans can also stream “Tell Everyone” on OUT Magazine and “Walks All Over You” on PopCrush.

“Catey Shaw does a lot of things right,” said Out Magazine, “Her songwriting is poppy but incisive, her voice is downright mellifluous.” Shaw’s forthcoming EP follows her 2014 release, The Brooklyn EP, praised by The Huffington Post who remarked, “Shaw’s release proves she’s not a hipster gimmick, but an artist to be taken seriously.” Perez Hilton commented that with her previous release “she officially cements herself as the Lily Allen for a younger generation.”

The Ransom EP is the third release from Catey Shaw following 2013’s Clouds and 2014’s The Brooklyn EP. For more information, please visit: https://www.facebook.com/cateyshawmusic.

Melbourne, FL – June 16, 2016 –To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA) has released a Rainbow Title shirt to help fund grief counseling sessions for those affected by the tragedy at Orlando’s Pulse Night Club last weekend. For each Rainbow Title Shirt and Rainbow Title Tank sold, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Solace Counseling, Zebra Coalition, and the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida. The organization has also set up a fundraising page for those who would prefer to donate directly. For more information, please visit: twloha.com/blog/hope-and-help-for-orlando.

On the recent events, TWLOHA founder Jamie Tworkowski shares: “TWLOHA started in Orlando, and Central Florida has been our home ever since. So this is personal for us. It’s also a moment for us to make it clear that our message of hope and help is for absolutely everyone, and to invest in that hope and help so people can begin to heal.

To Write Love on Her Arms is a nonprofit dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. It exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery. Since its start in 2006, TWLOHA has donated over $1.5 million directly into treatment and recovery and answered over 180,000 messages from over 100 countries.

Over the past ten years, TWLOHA has been heralded by press and seen on NBC Nightly News, CBS Sunday Morning, MSNBC, Rolling Stone, Paste Magazine, Relix, US Magazine, Glamour, Yahoo!, The Huffington Post, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, NYLON Guys, MTV, Elle, NPR, and so many more. The organization has seen support from numerous celebrities including actress Jessica Chastain, actor Jared Padalecki, Miley Cyrus, Liv Tyler, Joaquin Phoenix, actress Sophia Bush, singer/songwriter Mat Kearney, USA soccer stars Alex Morgan, Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger, singer/songwriter Christina Perri, rock band Switchfoot, pop rock act The Summer Set, Hayley Williams (Paramore), among others.

This past September TWLOHA wrapped its 4th annual campaign to honor National Suicide Prevention Week and World Suicide Prevention Day. The organization was overwhelmed by the amount of love and support shown during this year’s campaign, titled “We’ll See You Tomorrow,” during which nearly $83K was raised for treatment and counseling. TWLOHA also participated in events in Toronto, Chicago, and Nashville before wrapping up the week in Minneapolis with two final events: one with the Minnesota National Guard and the second featuring a special pop-up shop at the Mall of America.

July 12th, 2016 – New York, NY – New York indie rock act The Commuters have premiered their brand new single “Before I Was Born” via idobi Radio. Fans can check out the song and lyric video today, here: http://goo.gl/FnEYtS. ”Before I Was Born” is the title track from the band’s forthcoming EP, which will be released on August 12th, 2016 and marks The Commuters’ first release since 2012’s Rescue. For more information, please visit: www.thecommuters.com.

On the new song, frontman Zeeshan Zaidi shares: “The song was inspired by watching the deep and intimate relationship that a newborn has with its mother right at birth. But more broadly, it’s about the bonds we often feel with people we’ve just met, as if we’ve known them for years. I think we’re all more connected to one another than we realize.

The Commuters, consisting of Zaidi (vocals,guitar/keyboard), Uri Djemal (guitar/keyboard), Ben Zwerin (bass), and Paul Amorese (drums), might hail from New York, but their kinetic, personal anthems capture an alt-rock essence that aspires toward worldwide appeal. Their 2012 debut, Rescue, earned the band accolades and exposure from outlets as wide-reaching and influential as college radio, mtvU, PureVolume and Guitar World. But more importantly, it spoke to listeners in a direct, uncomplicated way that created a devoted worldwide audience thanks to the band’s songs being equal parts melody and honesty.

Zaidi’s songwriting on The Commuters’ forthcoming EP reflects the band’s continued desire to move as many people as possible with their music. He fuses together longtime influences such as David Bowie and Peter Gabriel with modern progressive artists such as The Killers and Bon Iver to create intriguing, engaging rock songs that are destined to connect with you on a visceral level.

The Commuters will release their new EP Before I Was Born via Communal Records on August 12th, 2016.

The song “You’ll Be Fine” is very special to Anthony, it is an introspective on how much his life has changed, he shares, “The song was put together with parts that I had since before James was born. I was terrified about being a bad father, and I knew I was a bad husband so I was dealing with a lot of fear around that.”

The video was shot in one take, on the beach in Avalon, NJ and is a powerful and captivating statement Anthony wanted to share, directed by Andrew Swartz. Watch it now, HERE.

This will be Green’s fourth solo album and he has partnered with long time friend and producer Will Yip, to release on his label Memory Music. You can now pre-order Pixie Queen HERE. Bundles include:

Since then, he has gone on to release a handful of acclaimed albums, including 2012’s Beautiful Things, which peaked at No. 27 on the Billboard 200 chart, and 2013’s Young Legs, which charted at No. 67. This September, the Pixie Queen Tour will usher in a brand new era for the prolific musician.

Pennsylvania natives Green and Yip have been working together for years on music, so it made perfect sense for them to partner for the release of Pixie Queen. Yip had the vision of keeping everything under one roof, harkening back to the days of Motown, where the album was written, produced, mixed, mastered and released all within the same team. Memory Music is home to releases created in the legendary Philadelphia-area recording house, Studio 4. Yip, who has produced and engineered albums for Lauryn Hill, Title Fight, Circa Survive, Balance + Composure, La Dispute and Pianos Become the Teeth, launched the label in 2015 to highlight the community of artists he’s built around his studio and the overall vibe generated by the studio space. Each release reflects the uniqueness of Studio 4’s room and the way each artist uses it differently, creating varied albums that all carry a cohesive thread of their creative environment and Yip’s touch.

New Album Out of the Badlands Due Out August 19th on Tooth & Nail

Set to Feature Original Songs, Reworked Underoath and The Almost Songs + Covers

July 7th, 2016 – Salt Lake City, UT – Aaron Gillespie has released his brand new single, a cover of the Bonnie Raitt’s classic, “I Can’t Make You Love Me”, which is premiering exclusively on Alternative Press. Listen to his raw, stripped down take of the song, here. “I Can’t Make You Love Me” is the first official single release from Gillespie’s forthcoming solo acoustic album, entitled Out of the Badlands, which is due out August 19th via Tooth & Nail. When asked why Gillespie chose this song to cover, he stated, “Sometimes a song just resonates with you right where you are and with what you’re going through. This was that song for me. Making this type of statement pulled me out after a long, long relationship. Saying exactly what’s happening in your life is therapy. This is my therapy.”

Recorded and produced by Gillespie in his own recording studio, Soundcave, in Salt Lake City, Out of the Badlands is comprised of reworked songs from Underoath and The Almost, two cover songs, including “I Can’t Make You Love Me”, and three original tracks. The upcoming release is available for pre-order now, here: http://aarongillespie.com

Out of the Badlands is a mix of old and new. Writing this album was a therapeutic release for Gillespie who recently went through a divorce earlier this year. He says, “This is the healing process, this record, and the making of it pulled me through”. With refreshed versions of the Underoath classics like “A Boy Brushed Red Living In Black and White” and “Reinventing Your Exit”, The Almost fan-favorites including “Say This Sooner” and “Southern Weather”, covers of “Where The Streets Have No Name” by U2 and “Can’t Make You Love Me” by Bonnie Rait, as well as new original tracks, including “Raspberry Layer Cake”, which was released by Gillespie last year, the acoustic album is raw and has something for everyone.

Aaron Gillespie’s musical path began at age 14 when he co-founded the band, Underoath. After nearly two decades, and over 10 albums released with both Underoath, The Almost and as a solo artist, Gillespie is ready to begin a new era of his career with the release of Out of the Badlands.

June 29th, 2016 – Los Angeles, CASUM 41 are thrilled to get new music out to the patient, die-hard, dedicated fans who have been with them all along. Today they released a brand new song and music video off 13 Voices called, “Fake My Own Death.” Directed by Marc Klasfeld, who previously worked with SUM 41 on their videos for “Fat Lip”, “In Too Deep” and “The Hell Song,” “Fake My Own Death” depicts the band performing on a rooftop in downtown Los Angeles, where all their worst nightmares –including Kim Kardashian, Michael Jordan and Donald Trump– come to attack them. Fans can watch the video now, over on SUM 41’s Facebook page.

“Fake My Own Death” is the first listen off SUM 41’s forthcoming new album, 13 Voices, due out October 7th via Hopeless Records. Singer Deryck Whibley shares his thoughts behind “Fake My Own Death,” “I just wanted to get away from everything that I had been doing. I needed to start a new life—like faking my own death.” The ten-track album marks the band’s first LP in five years, following up 2011’s Screaming Bloody Murder, which featured the Grammy Nominated song “Blood In My Eyes.”

With the upcoming release of this album we see SUM 41 as an impenetrable unit putting everything they’ve got out into 13 Voices. The result is a dynamic, impassioned collection of melodic, guitar wielding, rock songs. “I can’t say whether this is our best record or not, as I don’t know if it is,” states Whibley. “All I can say is I did the best I possibly could during the toughest period of my life”.

Whibley began writing for 13 Voices immediately following his four-month stint in the hospital. The frontman recalls, “I had to learn how to do everything again-my motor skills, learning how to play guitar again… I couldn’t even walk at the time. It was really difficult, but at the same time if I didn’t have a record to make, I don’t think I would have recovered as quickly. Writing music gave me a purpose. I had to get better.” As Whibley’s health improved, so did his ability to write songs, and 13 Voices soon began to take shape being recorded, produced and engineered by Deryck Whibley at his home in Los Angeles.

SUM 41 just kicked off their summer run on the Vans Warped Tour. Tickets can be purchased, here: http://vanswarpedtour.com/dates/.

SUM 41 consists of five members including Deryck Whibley, lead guitarist/backing vocalist Dave Brownsound, co-lead guitarist/backing vocalist Tom Thacker, bassist/backing vocalist Cone McCaslin and drummer Frank Zummo.

STORIES OF A DIFFERENT KIND

A COFFEE TABLE BOOK CONTAINGING FLYERS, POSTER ART & SHORT STORIES

nfg

June 10th, 2016: Pop punk veterans, New Found Glory are happy to announce the release of their first book, Stories Of A Different Kind. The band has a limited amount of signed copies for pre-order in their web store newfoundglorystuff.com. The book will also be available all summer long on Vans Warped Tour.

The band says in a joint statement: “When New Found Glory first started, a messy photocopied piece of paper was the way in which we would tell people about our local shows. We could have never imagined that such a simple, lost concept would now serve as the spark to reignite a lost memory. Stories Of A Different Kind is a storybook, but not a beginning-to-end narrative. It’s a visual journey through a time period that pre-dates social media and blogs: a time that newer fans might not know had existed and older fans can look back on. This could be our biggest accomplishment as a band to date and we are very excited to share it with everyone. As fans, you’re just as big of the reason why it exists as we are.”

Unlike a conventional band biography, these pages are filled with old flyers, artwork and photos from there past nineteen years together as well as short stories from Chad, Jordan, Cyrus and Ian. The book paints a colorful narrative from the first time they got paid at a show, to the first time they played Warped Tour to touring the world with Green Day and Blink 182. These anecdotes will make any fan reminisce about their own personal memories with the band and remember why they fell in love with them in the first place.

“This was just as exciting to make, if not more than recording an album,” says guitarist Chad Gilbert. “Our fans will love this and no matter where you open it or how many times you read it, you’ll always find something new.”

New Found Glory will be appearing on the Journey’s Left Foot Stage on Vans Warped Tour this summer. Fans can also sign up for Chad’s music industry workshop on Warped Tour here thinktei.com/chadgilbert.
