Originally located in Arlington, TX, Chase moved to Abilene, TX in 2003 to study music composition and theory at Hardin-Simmons University. Having formally only worked under other efforts as a hired gun, it wasn’t until then that he pursued his solo career in music. After releasing a few EPs over the years, he released his first full length, Certain Circles, in 2014. His new album, A Fly Can’t Bird represents not only a solid follow-up, but also a place holder while Chase prepares for the next chapter of his life. He and his wife Kassie are expecting their first child in March of 2017, so he’s happy to set aside his tour schedule to focus on his new role as a father.
